Vacation’s end

Where does all the time go?

Since our last chance to see my brother was to go back up to Big Bay on Sunday morning, we took another trip up there. It took longer to drive up and back than we actually had “on the ground” there, but it was worth it because we probably won’t see Todd for a while, again. Since he does have broadband, though. I hope we can hook up online occasionally. Perhaps even do some audio chats once in a while.

We wrapped up with a low key celebration of Michelle’s mom’s birthday (today’s the actual day). I won’t get in trouble for saying she’s 52 years old because she’s said several times that she doesn’t care; so, that brings me to a question:

If you were born in ’52 and you’re 52 years old, is there any particular name or significance attached to it? I mean, other than coincidence, sillies. It seems like there should be some excuse to celebrate it as extra-special, like when you’re as old as the day of the month in which you were born.

The our kids combined with Faith to get Grammy a gift card to Kohl’s, and we went in with Nate and Jaimie to get her a bit of patriotic home decor. She thought it was pretty nifty, but unfortunately I don’t have a picture…

The ride home was uneventful. We like it like that. Unpacking went a little more quickly than usual and we got everyone to bed. That sounds like a pretty good idea…
