Local weather excitement

Outagamie County (where I live) has declared a state of emergency following last Wednesday’s tornado.

Mercedes and Regan were staying at a friend’s house and we were just getting Shaelin to bed when the tornado sirens started blaring their alarm. Michelle immediately got her downstairs and I buttoned up the house and got a flashlight, then tuned in to WHBY to get the details. It turns out that a tornado was spotted in a town just west of us, and so we stayed down there until it became clear that it had passed by.

It turns out that it passed harmlessly over the north side of town, but as it wound its way east it touched down again. Fortunately there were no fatalities.

The Appleton Post-Crescent has more on the story.
