It&#8217;s hard to put much stock into these reports, though, because I have the distinct impression that the media doesn&#8217;t understand the situation in Iraq any better than the U.S. administration.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nSo, when Mohammed has <a href=\"http:\/\/iraqthemodel.blogspot.com\/archives\/2005_01_01_iraqthemodel_archive.html#110546274123246451\">something to say<\/a> over at IRAQ THE MODEL, even if the picture is painted optimistically, at least it&#8217;s coming from an Iraqi living in Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p>Time will tell, I guess.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ll admit, the vast majority of news reports I&#8217;ve seen have been of the &#8220;doom and gloom&#8221; variety regarding what happens following the elections in Iraq.
